The Ruwais Mall has finally opened!!!

Sorry..my post will be rather straight forward.  Firstly, it has been a while since I have written anything so my ideas are rather invisible..can't find them, then..my writing has become rusty, and then there is my baby..at the moment..I live in my baby's world and not the other way round.

Well..back to the main thing..yes..the Ruwais Mall finally opened after I have been waiting for 3 years.  So far, the stores opened are:
1. LuLu Hypermarket
2. Daiso
3. Nayomi (ladies lingerie shop)
4. Malabar (goldshop)
5. Inglot
6. Babyshop
7. Splash (Clothes)
8. Sun and Sands (Sports equipment and attire)
9. FunCity (Theme Park)
10. Royal Cinema

The LuLu Hypermarket
Some of the shops

And some more shops..so far.

Coming soon

Dear Rosfida,

I found on the Rosfida blog about living and working in Al Ruwais in UAE. I kindly request you to help me to find more information about cost of living in Ruwais. I have a employment offer for teaching and need help from expats like you.

Currently I live in Los Angeles, United States and salary for the emplyment offer is about AED 17,000. I am planning to bring my wife and two boys( 14 and 16 years old) to Ruwais. I have no idea is this deal is worth to leave my current teaching in USA.

The following issues are my main concerns.

(1). Cost of living - daily food, cloths, traveling, phone, internet etc...

(2). Savings - May I be able to save good money? I

(3). Education Standards - Is it worth to give up my kids American Education here in Los Angeles?

(4). Is my wife able to work after OUR arrival to UAE?

(5). What are the advantages of living in Ruwais for 3 years?

(6). Do I need to buy a car? How much is a used car / new car ( Toyota Corolla)?

Hope to hear from you soon.
