Feedback please...

Hello there...have you missed me?
I have to admit that my blog has been down and kept hidden because I am extremely busy with my new baby..still am..sigh..sigh..
Although she is 5 months now, she still she craves for so much attention especially from me...errrrrr..maybe because I am the bearer of the boobie..like duuh..Do you know that I consider myself lucky if I can have a long shower and wash my hair..I am luckier if I remember to even brush my teeth!!  So..you can imagine eh..if I am scrambling to get the essentials done what more with writing a blog..I just don't have the same amount of free time as I used to and not wanting to upset people by not replying to your inquiries or comments..I decided to keep my blog away for a while.  Now that my baby is asleep and she has regulated her sleeping patterns at night...which starts at 12 am everyday with a 4 hr gap before the next opera session..I can manage to squeeze in some time for my blog.
If she is not asleep..this is how she would be...seriously..

Oh..before I continue yapping..first and foremost, I am happy to say that I was informed by several friends that my blog has received a couple of shoutouts from two websites..the expatwoman.com  and also the abudhabiwoman.com...Thank you to the ladies who find my blog worthwhile that they have put a link to my blog and referred people to visit me here! Thank you..thank you.. I appreciate it and feel very honoured to get some recognition for this small contribution I am making to the public!!!

Well..since I have written about Ruwais..my blog has seen and received such an overwhelming response.  I get many visits per day, from many countries as compared to before and that shows how much I am helping people who are inquisitive about Ruwais that they will be coming to or are considering to come to. Although my main target readers are my fellow Malaysians..but alhamdulillah..other nationalities are also finding it helpful which pleases me to the max.  I am glad that my sole intent to write up on Ruwais which is to  help people know more about this place is fulfilled.

And because of that...today..I need the roles to be reversed.

As I know some of you who have read my blog either from Malaysia or elsewhere have already reached Ruwais and are resuming with their lives here while some are also in the same facebook groups as I am, therefore I do not think it is too much for me to ask from you for one favor, dear silent readers or followers..named or anonymous. The favor I am asking is would you please be kind enough to provide me with some feedbacks concerning my posts. The examples of feedbacks that I am seeking are ones that tell me whether the information that I had provided was accurate or not,  if it was a bit misleading or whether it was helpful  and it what ways were my posts misleading ..accurate..helpful.  Feedbacks are very much appreciated as it could help make my posts better.

Come on peeps...help me.  Instead of me being the one who provides you with information..why not you provide me with some feedbacks concerning the contents of my Ruwais posts. What say you...

p/s I know have have used the word 'feedback' in abundance..but at 3.27 am..that is the only word that seems to be accurate..even Mr Thesaurus could not fulfill my quest for another word that best fits 'feedback'..

Don't Ever Stop Losing Faith..

In my previous posts, I think I have written about my struggles with PCOS, a fertility condition that makes it quite difficult for me to conceive.  I have always thought that if I had wanted another baby, then I would have to start again with the whole ordeal of getting my body invaded with tools and gadgets and chemicals to assist getting me pregnant.  Little did I remember there is the higher force to whom I could always turn to, a force greater than science;  He ..who would guarantee the best for me.

Let's take a short education on how one could conceive..believe me..this won't be a 'dirty' post!  Firstly, a woman must have her menses right?  And between the 13th to 15th day from the first day she had her red flag up, that is when her ovum or eggs are out and fresh from the oven readily waiting for some tender loving.      And when that happens, millions and millions of sperm would fight their way to woo that single or double or even triple ovum that is out in the ovary and when it is successful..tadaaa..you are pregnant.
Unfortunately, in my case, I do not have a regular menstrual cycle because of my PCOS and the best thing is..I have been free from having red flag days (yeah..yeah..my hubby is a lucky man) for 2 years  the last time I counted, meaning..I haven't ovulated in 2 years so to get pregnant is not as easy as 1, 2, 3 for me.

Some 8 months ago, I was having my medical check-up for a job position. It was at the pathology department that I was given a 'splendid' news when I saw on my blood test result written in bold red "NOT FIT FOR X-RAY".  When I asked the technician who handed me my results as to why I could not have an x-ray done on me, he refused to answer sternly answering that I should see the doctor on the second floor.  'Did I have cancer?' was the first thing that crossed my mind and after asking a couple of times..the man who handed me my result reluctantly told me that I was pregnant.  I was in utter shock, disbelief and so many other things.  We had not planned for a baby let alone even think of having another one..yet..I demanded to see a doctor, in case the result was tampered or  wrong..you know..the things you think of when you are in denial. As I got to the doctor's office, I was told that my hormone levels were so high it could not have been faulty thus confirming my pregnancy.

Again, I was in doubt, sceptical..how could it have happened..besides the obvious happy hour thingy..I HAVE NOT been having my cycle for 2 whole years!!!
But then, let's not forget God who's been watching over us and if/or when  He says Kun Fayakun..which means "Be! And it is." (surah Yaasiin) therefore all things impossible will be possible!  That's what happened to me.  For a woman who hasn't been menstruating for 2 years, getting pregnant might seem a little far fetched I may say but if Allah says "Kun Fayakun" what can you say?  While I am writing this post, I am rubbing my gigantic tummy with this life inside of me waiting to come out in another week or so..and I can never stop thanking Him for this gift that He has given us.

What I am trying to say is..we often give up hope when failure has constantly been the outcome to those who have been trying for something; a new life, a new beginning, or even another child.  Regardless of whether you have only one Fallopian tube, regardless of whether certain acids in your body are killing those sperms, regardless of whether you have many medical reasons which may hinder you from conceiving..ALWAYS ALWAYS BELIEVE in God..never stop losing faith in Him and never stop asking from Him..from He who knows what is best for you and for all you know, He might just grant what you wished for without you noticing it!

Baby A..we are waiting for you!

P/S This post was written a couple of weeks ago..as of today..I have given birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl who I am intensely in love with.

Bear With Me.

I know I have said that I will upload more pictures of the apartment units, however, it is not that easy.  Firstly, not many people are comfortable with the thought of having pictures of their sanctuary posted on some bored woman's blog for the view of others and another restriction is..most of my friends are in the apartment units and none in villas.  Therefore, it is very difficult to show you the variety of housing units which are offered.

So..dear readers who are very curious about Ruwais and its housing complex, do bear with me and have patience for I am trying to accommodate your curiosity..If there are those who I have managed to persuade to let me into their house and take pictures, then surely it will be posted here for all to see.

Thank you for your understanding.

2 Bedroom House Type Y

As I have promised, these are pictures of a 2 bedroom Y type apartment in Ruwais 3.

This is the foyer.

This area is a large area divided into 2 sections. Mostly tenants turn it into their family and living room.

Kitchen

This is the dining area or even you can make it into a family area.

This is the second bedroom.  Please do not mind the mess..my daughter was responsible for this heinous crime!

Bathroom 2

Oh dear..I forgot to take pictures of the laundry room and the maid's room with the bathroom.  And agaiiiiin..gimme time for me to update this post with more pictures!  Thank you Pn Hana for allowing me to invade every inch of your house for my personal satisfaction..hehehe..you have also contributed to providing some social services to readers of my blog.  You are indeed appreciated!

Now, these are pictures of the master bedroom in a Y-type 2 bedroom apartment in Ruwais 4.  It is mostly similar to the master bedroom in Ruwais 3, the only difference is the tiles in the bathroom.  But that shouldn't be a problem eh..Thank you Pn. Marlina R for sending me these pictures.  You are mostly appreciated.

Dear Silly Me...

Dear Silly Me,

Thank you first and foremost for liking my blog topics on Ruwais.  It means a lot for a small time blogger like me!
Secondly, I have decided to answer your questions and made it into a post on its own because I think many other vegans or readers could benefit from it. I do hope you do not mind.  Lastly, please excuse my tardiness in replying for I have been a bit under the weather lately.

Now, regarding your questions:

1.  Yes, they have tofu and it costs Dhs 5 per pack. Usually the stocks come in on Mondays or Thursdays.  However, you can also get the ones made by some of the Indonesians here but prices vary from one      seller to another.  In terms of taste, both are nice and tasty but price wise, the ones you get from the      market are much much cheaper.

2. Regarding soy/almond/rice milk, I have only seen soy milk so far and that is probably due to the fact that I am an avid fan of soy milk myself. It comes in many flavors, low sugar, no sugar added, soy milk with corn, soy milk with dates.  But, they run out fast.  So if you see any in the market, just stock up for yourself.
Maybe there are some rice or almond milk but it just have never crossed my sight. I will check it up for you when i next go to the market, okay?

3.  In Ruwais itself, what can a 14 year old boy do?  We do have the recreation club and there is a court to play either tennis or badminton, a swimming pool and also a small cinema.  Other than that,  there are outdoor courts in which he could also play tennis or badminton at our Ruwais Big Park and even a soccer field where most of the boys play at in the afternoons.  Cycling around Ruwais is another option.  It all depends on him and how he manages to adapt himself to this place.  Like myself, I am still trying to encourage my 11 year old boy to get off his bottom and go cycling or play soccer instead of being stuck to the PS3!!! LOL...I haven't succeeded yet..

4.  Regarding the mall..I have kept mum all this while about it because seriously..I do not have an answer.  There are many rumors circulating this issue so far with some saying it will not be opened but turned into a government office, some say that it will be opened but not all parts of it though, some say that it is still under construction..and from the looks of it..that bit is true..So, there are many stories heard regarding the Ruwais Mall and unfortunately, I do not know anyone who can at least acknowledge which bit is true.

Hope my answers have satisfied you.  And thank you for visiting my blog and appreciating my efforts.

In a while...

Dear Readers,

Laziness has taken its toll on me.  What with the cold winter weather..I am getting lazier and lazier by the miliseconds.  I know my blog has come to a halt for rather quite some time..but bear with me..I am slowly...really slowly collecting new photos of accomodations and also the supposedly Ruwais Mall.  Hopefully, new posts on Ruwais will appear for your reading.
Laziness is striking me once more..I am succumbing to its gentle appeal thus I shall end my post here.
